Counselling out in the fresh air with a pony for extra support

My equine-assisted therapy is an innovative and experiential form of counselling that can help you gain deeper self-awareness and emotional growth. Horses, as herd animals, are highly sensitive to human emotions and non-verbal communication. By working with them, you can:

  • Improve emotional regulation and mindfulness.
  • Develop trust, boundaries, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience a sense of connection and grounding in the present moment.

No prior experience with horses is necessary—what matters is your openness to the experience.

Being out in nature in the presence of my therapy pony, Eddie (pictured right), is therapeutic in itself. Activities will include grooming and walk and talk therapy. There is no ridden work. I will work in a person-centred way with you just as I would in a therapy room as we explore your inner world.

I work with adults and young people over the age of 15.

I offer 50 minute equine assisted therapy sessions, and you can choose to have weekly or fortnightly sessions.

50 minute equine therapy session £60

I am able to work with many challenges including depression, anxiety and childhood trauma to name a few.  If you would like to arrange a free 20 minute consultation by telephone or online, please get in touch.
